Our Nation’s oldest flag day parade

Save the date for June 8th, 2020 when more than 100 units will participate in the 69th Annual Flag Day Parade in Appleton, Wisconsin. It all began in 1949 when the Appleton Elks Club decided to plan a parade in honor of Flag Day. Their goal was to boost pride among citizens and raise appreciation for freedom.

The first Appleton Flag Day parade was held in 1950, and today the event draws more than 60,000 people!
